My complaints mainly involve the stations supposed 'fresh mix' and its embarrassing attempts at what they consider to be news.
My definition of 'fresh' is something that is new and hasn't had the life sucked out of it after 20 plays per day. Apparently, 106.5's definition of 'fresh' differs significantly to mine as they seem to think that the word means playing the same 10 songs on loop for the entire day, everyday. This is annoying, especially if you're someone like myself, who has no choice in the radio station played. I suggest that the stations producers and DJ's reconsider playing Taio Cruz's 'Break Your Heart' for the 3rd time that morning in order to remain true to its claims.
I'd also like to bring to attention the station's attempts to inform people of the important issues facing the world and Australian's today. News on this station mainly consists of celebrity news and novelty stories about dogs and the elderly. There is hardly any mention of the situation in the Middle East, Afghanistan and the status of Australian troops. Soldiers before these men fought for the freedoms of the Australian people and the Western world which enabled us to have uncensored news and the freedom of speech in the first place. I think Mix 106.5's poor excuse for news is an insult to the general public's intelligence and a slap in the face to those who have fought hard for these freedoms.
I'd like to see the station expand it's playlists and I'd would especially like to hear stories which address the general publics main concerns and hear it be used for what it was initially created for - reporting news.
AMEN TO THAT.
you should send this to 106.5 :)

I think the most concerning issue is your subjection to radio (and especially one single radio station) against your will!
